The developers of "Maid Mansion" released the first demo for their game back in 2016, gathered some feedback for the game... and then disappeared for four years, letting the people assume that the project simply didn't pan out. They returned in 2020 with a bang, first releasing an updated demo, and then the full game at the end of that year.

"Sanguine Rose" is a short one-shot visual novel published by a couple duo Dusky and Hallows. It has limited information about the setting, is set in a single location, has a small number of characters, and the events happen over a short time frame, but it is a beautiful and very enjoyable experience nonetheless.

"Under Control 2" is a sort-of prequel to the previous game by the developer Higurashika "Under Control", and it basically has the same premise - a setting within a special college, where any and all sexual acts are encouraged. It has a different protagonist and the core cast, but a lot of characters from the first game return in the supporting roles.

"Good Girl Gone Bad" is a Patreon-funded Western visual novel that started its production when the Patreon VN scene was still pretty new. After all, the very first VN project appeared on Patreon by the end of 2016, while the production of GGGB had started in the middle of 2017. And I have to say, that despite its age, this game still remains the best female protagonist corruption game available on the market.

Good Girl Gone Bad Walkthrough

I have played through the game "Good Girl Gone Bad" using Dundun's scene guide, which while very useful doesn't really work as a walkthrough, as it only shows you conditions for certain scenes, but not the steps how to reach those conditions. There is also apparently a flowchart by MrBubu, but I didn't even know about its existence until after I have finished the game. So I have decided to write a detailed walkthrough of my own.

"Record of Asturion War" was a surprise release for me. I checked it out of small curiosity, me being a fan of sexual corruption genre, and ended up playing through the whole game in a few days. I can firmly say it was worth my time, as the game is not just another short nukige plaguing this genre.

It took me one glance at the sample screenshots to know I'll be playing this game sooner rather than later, and now that I have done it, I have to say it was all worth it.

"Bernd und das Rätsel um Unteralterbach" was a classic of its time - a social satire mixed with an actual high quality lolicon game, wrapped in a well-written package. Sadly, there were no serious attempts to replicate the winning formula for a long time, until "One Summer in Loliwood". The dev openly admits this game was inspired by "Unteralterbach", and it contains several references to it. There is just one question: Does it manage to deliver on the lofty promise?

However, its biggest problem was the short runtime that ended up being mostly a teaser, thus it's no surprise that the developers decided to continue exploring the setting in a prequel.

I have to say that I'm an unapologetic mind control fetishist, however there are few visual novels that really strike that particular chord where mind control is concerned. Most of the games in that genre fall into the category of someone simply brainwashing their victims into sexual servitude, but spend very little time on the actual process of mind control. The victims fall to the machinations of the villains very quickly, and it's all a sexfest from that point.

"Netorare Wife Misumi" is the second game created by the English language VN circle Azienda, and just like the title clearly reveals to us, it also focuses on NTR. This time though, it's a more traditional husband/wife NTR, instead of the lesser mother/son variation seen in the developer's previous game. Sadly, the developer hasn't started a third game yet, and from what they have stated, it appears they want to get better before they get back into the VN creation. So, how does the second effort fare in comparison to the first game? Well, it's a bit of a mixed bag.

Kickstarter is a time tried funding method for various struggling visual novel creators to collect money for their development or translation endeavours. Frequently Kickstarter campaigns end up without any fanfare, with the release of the project to better or worse acclaim. Sometimes, though, they devolve into, let's use a scientific term here, a shitshow. Missed deadlines, broken promises, wasted money... This can be entertaining to the casual observer. However, I consider those campaigns that end with a whimper to be even worse - they simply disappear without nary a farewell. And the developers of a game we'll shortly be talking about, pulled exactly that kind of Houdini-like disappearing act, but not before releasing at least a part of the promise game.

Season 2 is probably the worst part of the series, it quickly became a case study in "what not to do" as I systemically fell into every pitfall new writers make.

Okay... Hmmm, I didn't expect that, but at least the author is self-critical. Let's see if his criticism has a basis in reality, shall we?

Up until now I was aware of only one translated VN dealing with this subject, so I'm really glad that a developer by the name of VitalSigns is making a series of short novels specifically revolving around this fetish. Let's try the first of those novels, and see if there is anything worth reading within.

Ain't it nice, when a visual novel proudly advertises its genre within the title itself? There is no ambiguity what the game is about, and you can safely dive inside knowing you will get exactly what it says on the tin. Just looking at the title itself, from the both dreaded and coveted three letter combination we can conjecture, that this visual novel is NTR themed, with the protagonist's mother as a central character. Let's dive deeper, in order to see if the title is any good for an original English language release.

"Teaser ~ Date ~ Kanon" is a short and sweet NTR themed one-shot kinetic novel. I say "one-shot", as it is literally a teaser encompassing a single date between our protagonist Hiro, and his girlfriend Kanon. The developer released it as part of their learning how to create visual novels, and the game ends ambiguously, with a "To be continued..?" message at the end. However, I have to say, I liked the game enough I hope the developer will go on with the VN making and will release a proper continuation wit the same characters.
