"Marina's Cuckolding Report 2" (MCR2) is the second part in the netorase-focused Marina trilogy, and incidentally the last in the series to be translated. The latter happened due to the game changing the engine for the second iteration, and none of those who showed an interest in translating it had any know-how of how to crack it. Eventually the problem was overcome, and now the whole trilogy has been translated for the fans.

The second part observes the continuity established in the prequel, and starts about a year after the events portrayed therein. Marina and Kenji Azumas have been engaging in the cuckolding play with a student and her co-worker Hiroto, but lately they have had misgivings related to him. Hiroto seems to have fallen for Marina and has been neglecting his studies. Moreover, he has even repeated a year of his studies, hence the couple decides that they have to cut Hiroto loose and give him an opportunity to get his shit together.
That leaves them without a "bull" to continue engaging in their fetish, but Kenji just happens to have a bright idea - find one on the internet. Surprisingly, it goes pretty smoothly, and soon the Azumas are entertaining an older gentleman by the name of Yamashita Kouichi. There is just a slight kink in the smooth ride - Kenji has recognized Kouichi as a popular retired porn actor, and he is pretty sure Marina would reject going out with him if she knew this fact, but what's a few white lies between the lovers... He eagerly awaits for Marina's report on her "extracurricular" activities after landing her to Kouichi, but upon her return is hit with baffling news: Kouichi is just not that good at sex...

In a way, MCR2 follows the same formula established by the predecessor - meaning it's a completely wholesome netorase game with pretty much no drama or any conflict. That also means, there is no particular plot either. Just like MCR1 explored Marina's sexual relationship with Hiroto, now the game does the same with Kouichi. And just like the first game, this one has a more or less open ending, where nothing of particular import happens, and the couple simply decides to put a hiatus on their cuckolding activities in the end.
That said, I see MCR2 as a big improvement over the prequel in quite a few areas. The first and foremost is the degree of sexual content. MCR1 was so painfully vanilla, that it was frankly boring. The only reason it managed to hold my attention, is because we didn't actually see Marina's sexual scenes with Hiroto, with the exception of the final one, and the bonus content. And while MCR2 does not include anything too kinky in it's content roster, we finally get things like light BDSM, light erotic humiliation, sex while watching pornography, and finally a friggin' cunnilingus!!! Because it took until a literal porn star came onto the stage, for Marina to get some long-deserved oral pleasure! How is she still with Kenji, if he's not spending at least an hour a day between her legs?! But I digress.

I have mentioned multiple times that MCR1 hid the sexual scenes with the "bull", and left Kenji stewing in his arousal and jealousy. That might have worked for that game due to its very short length, but it would have dragged for "Marina's Cuckolding Report 2", which is almost twice as long. MCR2 has learned all it could from the predecessor, and retains the slow teasing pace, but at the same time slowly lifts the curtain on Marina's sexual activities. At first Kenji gets to listen to audio files recorded during her lovemaking with Kouichi, later he acquires filmed material, and finally his is invited to watch. This works really well, and the main game has a good pacing with some high quality sex scenes. This time Marina leans even more into her dominant aspect, and verbally humiliates and emasculates Kenji to his great pleasure.
The second game decided to play a bit with its structure, even if it's more of a gimmick than something serious. The first playthrough is completely linear, and the only choice has only one option to select. After you finish the game once, the second option appears, and allows you to play a mini scenario from Hiroto's perspective. It also highlights how deliciously wicked Marina can be when she puts her mind to it. The mini-scenario is mostly comedic and also focuses almost solely on female domination, which I of course loved.

The first time you launch a game, the screen appears to show a locked selection for Marina's scenario, but that's a lie - there is no Marina's scenario in the main game. However, just like the first game, MCR2 hides the scenes from her POV as a bonus in the scene replay gallery (this time on page 2). It's easy to see why those scenes are considered a bonus, and not included in the main game. Frankly, they are not that good - in fact they are pretty bad. We have already seen most of those scenes in a truncated form from Kenji's perspective, and Marina's perspective is lacking any witty banter prevalent in the main scenario. The scenes are overly long and full of boring screaming of "ahh", "ohh" and "I'm coming". If they were included in the main game, they would have seriously destroyed the pacing, and brought the general quality down.
The other aspects of the game are pretty much unchanged from its prequel. The backgrounds and the BGM are pretty much the same, with only a few new additions (and they are most likely stock footage anyway). The CGs are pretty good, and the sex scenes are well done, though it was a bit of a bummer to have the H-scenes censored after playing the first officially localized game in an uncensored form. However, the mosaics are not that big and didn't hamper my enjoyment. Moreover, Kobato Riku returns as the voice of both Marina and her daughter Saki, and does a pretty good job.

Finally, I have to say that the fan translation seems to be competent, as far as I can see. It reads well, and despite a few grammar mistakes here or there, there are no major problems.
All in all, I'd say "Marina's Cuckolding Report 2" is an improvement over the predecessor, and a worthy addition to the netorase (wife-sharing) genre. I wonder how the third and last game fares in comparison, though I'm already spoiled regarding the controversial aspect of that title. Well, we'll see...
